With the holidays just around the corner the majority of us start concentrating on shopping and wrapping, decorating, and food! Holiday parties will be in full swing for the next few weekends. Instead of putting business aside as so many of us do around the holidays, why not use the time to market your business. Here are a few suggestions for last minute holiday marketing:
Send holiday cards to all your clients and prospects, get them in the mail or send them on-line. Its never to late! Here is a good site for free e-cards http://www1.egreetings.com/index.pd
Marketing locally? drop off a plate of home made or bakery bought cookies to select businesses, and don’t forget to include your business card and brochure.
Going to the mall? Hand out candy canes with your business card attached. People love smiling faces at holiday time, and you never know who you might be handing a card to! You don’t have to stand there and hand them out, pass them out as your doing your shopping or just walking along.
Attending a lot of holiday parties? Use the candy cane idea again but only if you happen to get into a discussion about business. I don’t think it’s appropriate to be marketing yourself at a party, and I don’t think the host/hostess would appreciate it either. At times you do have to be discreet, I know I hate a pushy salesman!
Holiday’s are the time for smiling faces, and thoughtful gestures. You can accomplish this and be promoting your business at the same time. If you have suggestions for last minute marketing I’d love to hear them, leave me a comment!
Happy Holidays to Everyone! Be safe and happy!
